ABOUT THE EVENT
This one-day webinar focuses on: Cultural Confidence and Competence; Working with Difference; Uncovering, Acknowledging Bias and Moving beyond; Language and Labelling; Micro Aggression; ‘White Privilege’ and Developing Inclusive Practices.
Shelagh Hetreed, Business Officer & Training Coordinator, Nilaari Agency has worked in education for the first half of her career and was trained as a trainer as part of her adviser role for Avon Education Authority and gained a Masters in Education. She been working in the equalities field since the early 90s. Shelagh worked in the Home Office for 12 years, latterly as the first regional lead for Preventing Extremism. She then moved from the public to the voluntary sector 10 years ago, to work alongside those who are marginalised, excluded and experience injustice and discrimination.
